According to estimates, the comparable numbers for CAES and PHS are 240 and 210, respectively. These numbers are based on 25,000 cycles of conservative cycle life estimations for PHS and CAES.

After all, just two decades ago, batteries were widely believed to be destined for use only in small objects like laptops and watches.
